As a Technical Support Employee, you will be part of the IT team, working closely with fellow ICT support colleagues and various departments across the organization. You will be jointly responsible for analyzing and resolving ICT-related issues, acting as a point of contact for our international offices, and managing and optimizing internal systems and processes.
In this role, you contribute to the success of our organization by ensuring our ICT environment remains stable, efficient, and user-friendly. Thanks to your support, colleagues around the world can rely on a smoothly functioning IT infrastructure every day.
Key Responsibilities
- Setting up user accounts for new employees to ensure access to Microsoft and other relevant systems from their first day.
- Adding client systems and ensuring correct visibility of customer data across the appropriate platforms.
- Analyzing and resolving first-line IT issues, or escalating them to the appropriate colleague or external partner in a timely manner.
- Performing technical analysis for problem resolution.
- Keeping stakeholders informed proactively and clearly about the status and resolution of their issues.
- Actively identifying opportunities to improve internal systems and processes, and communicating these to the team lead.
Requirements
- Customer-oriented attitude and strong communication skills.
- Experience with and/or training in ITIL methods and ITSM practices is highly valued.
- Skilled in setting priorities and monitoring progress.
- Ability to analyze, improve, and structure processes.
- Foundational knowledge of IT infrastructure, including computer hardware (e.g., motherboards, memory, and storage), cabling (e.g., UTP, power supply), networking, server management, and firewalls.
- Experience with setting up and restoring email (POP3, IMAP, SMTP).
- Understanding of monitoring errors in our Slack alert channels.
- Knowledge and experience with VOIP. Ability to configure phone systems, understanding of call flows and routings.
- Flexible availability to handle incidents outside standard working hours (08:00–18:00).
- Good command of both English and Dutch, spoken and written.
